Big Town Boppers // Professional Covers Band
ABOUT
Big Town Boppers
Since 2013, Big Town Boppers have been absolutely smashing dancefloors and stages around the UK. With a huge repertoire of old school classics and modern day bangers, these five musicians have a larger-than-life sound that brings energy and vibe, in colossal doses.
Having walked major stages, festival slots and worked as studio and session players, these five friends now make it their mission to bring the good times to weddings, corporate events, festivals, parties and charity fundraisers.
Big Town Boppers are:
John Burke – lead vocals
Tom Phillips – drums and percussion
Luke Jon Stala – guitars and backing vocals
Tom Oldham – guitars and backing vocals
Al Moghadam – bass and backing vocals
Led by singer John Burke, who has an ear for a killer medley and always gets a crowd on his side, the band has worked to continuously evolve. Driving the lead vocal is a group made up of session pros, BBC Live Lounge veterans and studio players – and with their solid, locked-in sound, getting you into the groove is all but guaranteed.
A decade of shared experience in bringing big nights to life has tuned the band into knowing what’s fun for a crowd. Sets are fun and informal, with a mind-bending mix of medleys that feature tracks from artists as diverse as Ed Sheeran and Blackstreet, to The White Stripes and Eurythmics. Punk, funk, rock, RnB, pop – you name it, the Boppers have got it in their repertoire.
But it’s not just a scatty hash of eclectic tunes – far from it. A lot of effort goes into crafting bespoke productions for every occasion, weaving tracks together into a continuous playlist of near non-stop danceable live music.
The main focus? Feeling out the crowd, and giving them a night to remember.
